# How to Avoid Heat Exhaustion & Heat Stroke

# It's Summer!!

## With the weather getting hotter by the second, let's take a beat to remind ourselves to keep cool & avoid heat exhaustion or heat stroke!

Although similar, heat exhaustion and heat stroke have different symptoms.

Now that you know the signs, let's look at the ways you can avoid Heat Exhaustion & Heat Stroke!

- Stay Hydrated/Drink Plenty of cold fluids
- Stay cool with cold showers & baths
- Wear light colored, light weight, loose fitting clothing
- Don't forget your suncreen & sun protection
- The sun is at its hottest from 11am-3pm, try to avoid strenuous outdoor activity during this time
- Avoid excess alochol & extreme exercise
