Get Acquainted with Jaime C. Almazan, CPCU, ChFC, CLU

If a business doesn’t take care of its customers, it won’t have any customers.
That’s the principle that guides Jaime C. Almazan, a senior agent responsible for the acquisition of new business and the retention of existing clients at RightSure. He strives to deliver exceptional customer service as he helps clients obtain the coverage they need.

Jaime graduated from University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. Originally, he’d planned to be an accountant, but after graduation, he found himself searching for a job in a tight market. He got a lead on a job in insurance and discovered it was the perfect fit. In fact, it was so perfect that he stayed at the first company that hired him for 27 years. During that time, he also earned several designations to advance his expertise in insurance and financial consulting: Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).

After almost three decades in the field, he hadn’t changed his mind about insurance, but he was ready for a new challenge. He accepted his current position at RightSure, where he was impressed by both the technology and the business model.

“Here at RightSure, you never have to say no,” he says, explaining that with access to so many different products, he can always find one that matches a client’s unique needs.

Through the years, Jaime has developed expertise in various areas of insurance. He’s been on disaster duty, which involved going to other communities to help out during a catastrophe, and he’s handled homeowners, liability and fire claims. His specialty is in commercial insurance, primarily working with small businesses, and he has in-depth experience in both commercial claims and commercial underwriting. “That experience allows me to understand policy language and make sure the proper policy coverages are in place to protect the client,” he says.

Although he’s lived and breathed insurance for decades, he knows this isn’t the case for most people, many of whom don’t always have warm feelings toward insurance. He’s found that most clients don’t understand insurance and may even be afraid of it, something that shouldn’t be surprising.

“It is my job to make them feel comfortable with insurance,” he says. “A dentist is an expert on teeth and not expected to know all the ins and outs of insurance. I am an expert on insurance. Let me guide you through the process and get you a better understanding of what you have and what needs to be protected.”

He wants his clients to know that he will do a thorough job of finding the best coverage at the best price – all so they can have peace of mind that they’ll be protected in the event of a loss.

Jaime was born and raised in Tucson. When he’s not working, he enjoys sports of all kinds. He also likes heading outdoors or spending time with his friends, family and dog named Jack. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
